| Quiet | Good-Natured | Shy | Night Owl | Flustered | Worrier | Smart |

Bullet; YellowQuiet
One of the main reasons Duskpaw is so quiet is because he is mute. Although he also has a tendency to sneak up on other cats. He can approach with making barley a sound as is quite good at stalking, for being a medicine cat apprentice who wasn't trained for things like hunting.

Bullet; YellowGood-Natured
Duskpaw is very caring towards other cats. It's the main reason he wanted to become a Medicine Cat as a kit. He wants to help anyone he can, even if it's a cat from another cat or a loner.

Bullet; YellowShy
Despite his desire to care for anyone he can, Duskpaw is very shy around cats he doesn't know very well. The mute apprentice will become quieter and less active than usual when he's in a big crowd or if he runs into another cat that he doesn't know, either in the camp or out in the forest.

Bullet; YellowNight Owl
Duskpaw loves the night time. He could stay up all night if his mentor would allow him to. He finds the stars of Silver Pelt increasingly interesting the more he looks at them and loves being out in the forest at night, he feels the night time can bring out the inner beauty from anything.

Bullet; YellowFlustered
Duskpaw can be very flustered, especially with complements or flirting. He's not to sure how to react and usually ends up making a fool of himself, which then makes him even more flustered. It's like a vicious cycle of becoming flustered and them even more flustered.

Bullet; YellowWorrier
The apprentice always seems to have something to worry about, weather it be trying to heal a sick cat, running out of herbs, another apprentice straying over the border for an 'adventure', or anything in between. The worries never seem to stop with this young guy.

Bullet; YellowSmart
Duskpaw has a knack for remembering herbs and memorizing their uses. He can remember the dosage that a cat needs of a certain medicine and is very good with anything to have to do with memory. He could even possibly be good with tactics in battle, if he were brave or strong enough to fight.

Pre-Birth:
Chapter 1...A Tale of Two Cats
Duskpaw's life started when his parents first met. When Frogstep and Spiderheart met, it was during their apprenticeship. The two cats had been born close in age, but the always cold Spiderkit had no intention in being around the seemingly always energetic Frogkit. The black she-cat couldn't stand being around the dark brown tom and tried her very best to avoid him while they shared the nursery. However after Frogkit grew ill with greencough, Spiderkit slowly realized she had begun to miss the constant loud obnoxious voice of his trying to get her to play with him. While Frogkit was sick, hid siblings were apprenticed without him, leaving him to becoming an apprentice with the younger litter of Spiderkit and her brother.

Frogkit's raspy cough shook his small body as he looked up from his isolated nest to see a familiar black she-cat standing in front of him, her clod blue gaze watching him closely. "Hey Spiderkit," He meowed, "What are you doing here...don't tell me you're sick too?" He rasped, shifting in his nest uncomfortably as he tried to cool off, the fever he was running making him overly hot, though sudden chills would run down his body from time to time as well, making it impossible for him to be at a comfortable temperature. "Of course I'm not sick, I'm stronger than you!" The younger kit boasted, leaving the older to chuckle uncomfortably. "I just thought I'd see how you were doing...ya know...since Mousepaw and Cricketpaw are both apprentices now." Frogkit's ears flattened as his siblings new names were mentioned. But he was still happy to have company. "I know you cared about me!" He purred to Spiderkit. The black she-kit huffed and rolled her eyes, though she sat down to keep him company nonetheless.

Frogkit eventually got better and he was able to become an apprentice with Spiderkit. Now Frogpaw and Spiderpaw had both gotten their mentors and began training together. Though the black she-cat wasn't the best at her training, ad often lost in the practice battles, unless Frogpaw would let her win in order to give her a break from her stern mentor. As their training went by, Spiderpaw have become increasingly more quite and she seemed to draw into herself more and more. Though Frogpaw tried to cheer her up, the cold she-cat began to snap at him more and more and the pair started to drift apart, dispite their becoming close in their st moons as kits.

"Spiderpaw!" The black apprentice heard her name called and flattened her ears when she turned to see Frog paw running towards her. "What do you want?" She growled to him, she could see his eyes dampen with her snappy tone and instantly regretted it. She never meant to snap at the tom, but she would always see how good he was with his training and be reminded how poorly she herself was doing. The resentment had slowly began to buil until she couldn't take it an more. "I...just thoughtI could help you...ya know with your taining and what not..." He suggested to her and her hackles rose. "Why do you think I need your help, let alone want it," she hissed. "i didn't mean..." Spiderpaw cut Frog paw off in the middle of his sentence. "Do you think your better than me, or something?! Just because you're older doesn't mean anything! We became apprentices at the same time because you were weak, so don't even think that you could be any help to me!" She snapped, stalking away to leave Frogpaw wondering what he had done wrong.

After being yelled at by Spiderpaw, Frogpaw tended to stay away from her after that, though he missed spending time with her. He wanted to be able to just talk with her like when they were young apprentices, but now she always seemed so cold towards him. He still tried to offer his help to her, but he always got the same reaction from her. Spiderpaw kept pushing herself harder and harder in training, jealousy of Frogpaw burning inside her and pushing her farther along. Eventually both Frogpaw and Spiderpaw were eligible to become warriors and they shared the ceremony. Frogpaw had become a muscular tom who would be well respected in battle and Spiderheart had become a great hunter, quick and lethal while hunting. Spiderpaw became Spiderheart and Frogpaw was now Frogstep.

Frogstep with bouncing with pride as the moon rose higher into the sky. Spiderheart was sitting next to him with her usual blank, cold stare looking straight ahead, not bothering with him at all. Frogstep frowned, and remembered when these two had been close, he shifted closer to Spiderheart, who flinched as his pelt brushed hers and sidestepped. "Knock it off, we're supposed to be on vigil." She hissed at him, obviously annoyed that he wasn't being as serious or focused on this as she was. "Always so serious, Spiderpa-heart!" He corrected himself in a whisper, "No one will hear us if we chat!" He meowed. She just turned her cold glare away from him again to watch the entrance of the camp. Frogstep's brow furrowed. "Okay, what in Starclan's name has gotten into you?" He hissed at her. "Why are you ignoring me now?! Remember how close we were, why'd you suddenly stop that?" He asked, his soft eyes filling with hurt. "I miss talking...and I mess...you" He told her and Spiderheart couldn't help but look over at him with surprise. Guilt flooded over her and as the night drained on the two began talking again, by the time the dawn poked it's head over the horizon, the pair were leaning on each other for support and they were still murmuring to each other when they were allowed to go to sleep. Once in the warriors den, they curled up next to each other and lay close, feeling each others slow breathing as they each drifted off to sleep.

Chapter 2...Inevitable Mates
It was only about a moon after becoming warriors when Frogstep started hinting to Spiderheart about becoming mates and starting a family. The brown tom showed only affection towards Spiderheart but the cold hearted she-cat never seemed to return his feelings. However by now the clan had already started whispering about the young warriors and their constant companionship. It was being spread around the clan that Spiderheart and Frogstep had already become mates, though the she-cat always seemed to argue the point. She just didn't feel the same way towards Frogstep. And besides, she didn't want kits! She wanted to be a good warrior! She didn't want those little bundles of what other cats called 'joy' holding her back from helping her clan!

"Just think about it though!" Frogstep's eyes were shimmering as he spoke to the cat he loved. "Having a family and raising children of our own! It would be great!" He purred. He had long stopped hinting and dropped the subtly, it was obvious he wanted a family. It was also obvious he didn't want to start one with anyone other than spider heat. "No," Spiderheart told him, "It wouldn't be great. It would be a hassle and it would be annoying" She told him, she had seen other queens struggling to keep up with rowdy kits and she had seen the struggle to get them settled down at night. She shook her head, that was no life for her. But as she watched the enthusiasm in Frogstep's eyes, she knew he would make a good father. But she didn't want kits. "Look, Spiderheart," He pressed himself close to her, "I know you might be scared...but I just want you to know...I love you, and if you don't want to have a family with me, I understand" He meowed. The softness in Frogstep's voice mad Spiderheart's heart break. She wanted so much to be able to love him as much as he loved her. But she didn't. Still, she wanted him to have the family he deserved, even if she wasn't the mate he deserved. She could at least give him the kits he wanted.

After a few more moons, Spiderheart eventually agreed to start trying to have kits with Frogstep. The tom couldn't have been more overjoyed by her decision and Spiderheart soon became pregnant with his kits. She knew instantly when she became pregnant and couldn't help feeling the dread build in her stomach. She was going to have to be stuck in the nursery for more than six moons while she was waiting for them. As she got bigger and as the fact became harder and harder to hide, she noticed the clan had begun whispering to one another. They had all assumed that she and Frogstep would get together and she supposed it had been them pushing together as much as Frogstep's constant questioning for kits that had sent her to this conclusion. She felt huge and awkward and she could barley maneuver around the territory now. Spiderheart huffed as she pulled herself out of the nursery, where she had been moved to as she got bigger. Deep down, Spiderheart knew she was going to start a family with Frogstep, though now she was wishing she had told him no. She wasn't ready for any of this. The only thing she could hope to come from this litter was being able to supply Shadowclan with good, strong warriors who could bring courage and loyalty to their clan. Maybe if her kits could be like that, she wouldn't feel so bad about having them and having to put a hold on her duties.

Kithood:
Chapter 3...Regret in the Perfect Litter
It was the middle of the night when Spiderheart went into labor and it lasted until nearly sun-high the next day. The she cat was exhausted when she was finally finished kitting and when he medicine cat would finally allow Frogstep in to see his mate. The tom couldn't have been more overjoyed. Four kits were suckling at his exhausted mates belly, two brown like himself and two black, like his beloved Spiderheart. Though the she-cat didn't seem nearly as excited as the tom who loved her. She stared at the four kits with cold, piercing eyes and judged each one of them to herself as best she could. Her eyes lingered on the biggest of the litter, a male, and her only daughter, who were each fighting to get at the same teat. She huffed and looked away, not wanting Frogstep to se her cold gaze on their children and ruin his mood.

"Aren't they all so beautiful?" Frogstep meowed to his mate as he brought her a black bird from the fresh kill pile. "beautiful isn't quite the word I would use," Spiderheart mumbled to herself, not quite loud enough for Frogstep to hear her. When they weren't suckling and making her stomach sore with their constant pulling, they were mewling loudly and annoyingly for attention. Her fierce blue gaze landed on the runt of the litter and she sneered at him. He was so tiny, nothing that small could ever be of service to Shadowclan. She watched as her daughter shoved the little kit out of her way to get closer to her mother and Spiderheart smiled at the lone she-kit. Now that was a kit that could survive in this clan. Same went with the largest of the litter. Those two were going to be fine warriors indeed. Spiderheart's thoughts stopped as Frogstep gently guided the tiny kit back to it's mother. "We don't want you straying away now," He murmured to the little thing, missing his mates look at it. "We need to star thinking of names dear," He meowed to the she-cat. Spiderheart looked over her litter again. The other tom, not the biggest but certainty not as small as his brother, caught Spiderheart's eye now. At first she was only really focusing on her strongest to kits. But now she watched this one shove his way into the mix, climbing over the runt. She smiled at that one too. He would be good for the clan. three perfect kits Spiderheart thought with a satisfied smile. Three strong new warriors for Shadowclan. "We'll get to the names Frogstep," She told the tom, "once we know who will survive the first few hours," She added, Frogstep followed her menacing glare to the runt and frown. "Of course they'll all survive, my dear..." He mumbled to her, slightly confused at the glance she was giving.

Another day passed and Spiderheart was still waiting to name the kits. Frogstep begged her to let him name at least one, but she refused, explaining that they all needed to be named at the same time. Though secretly she was hoping that weak runt she had brought into the world would just go already and leave her three perfect, strong kits to her milk. However they day finally came when the kits began opening their eyes. Their only daughter was the first to open her eyes, followed soon after by the large tom. Finally Spiderheart accepted the fact that the little runt was going no where and agreed to name their kits with Frogstep. Overjoyed, the new father sat in the nursery all day with Spiderheart and chatted to her non stop about names he had been thinking of.

"What do you think of Dustkit?" Frogstep gave out yet another name to Spiderheart. "His fur is to dark, Dust doesn't suite him." Spiderheart replied, shooting down yet another name for her largest kit. When the brown tom had opened his eyes after his sister, Spiderheart had been overjoyed to see his beautiful, almost honey colored eyes. Though, to Frogstep's dismay, she had refused to name him Honeykit after his eyes. She wanted to give him a strong name fit for a brave warrior. She watched as he and his sister started to play fight. Their first day with open eyes and they were already to fight! She watched them with proud eyes. "Their getting awful dirty over there," She remarked, "Maybe their father should help them clean mud off of their pelts." She meowed. Frogstep smiled at her, "Why don't we name him Mudkit?" He asked his mate, looking at the toms dark brown pelt melding in with the soft soil on the ground. "Mudkit?" Spiderheart let the name sit, "Yes, okay...Mudkit." She nodded as Frogstep giddily stepped towards his kits, ready to clean them off. "How about Bluekit for the girl?" Spiderheart asked, looking at the deep blue eyes on the brown she-kit, the color almost matching her mothers eyes. "I like Bluekit!" Frogstep replied back in between licking his sons pelt clean. Spiderheart then turned back to the two remaining kits at her belly. She chose the name Ashkit for the bigger of the two cats, given his lighter gray pelt. "What about the little guy?" Frogstep asked, licking his smallest son affectionately. "I don't care what you call it, you can pick whatever name you want for that one." Spiderheart hissed at her mate, her mood suddenly turning sour at the mention of her useless kit. Frogstep flattened his ears, "He's not an it, Spiderheart, he's a he" The brown tom told his mate, "and he deserves a name like the other three." Spiderheart glared at her mate, "Why should it? It's not lik the tiny thing will be useful to our clan!" She hissed, "It's to small to do anything accept cower and beg for my milk!" She hissed. "He is our son! He will be a great asset to Shadowclan! You can't say he won't be any good when he hasn't even opened his eyes!" "And you can't tell me he'll be an asset when he can't even walk!" Spiderheart argued back. All she wanted was to bring Shadowclan good, strong kits. And she had failed the clan with this runt that couldn't even hold it's own against it's own siblings.

Frogstep and Spiderheart argued endlessly about their smallest kit. Eventually, however, Frogstep convinced Spiderheart to let him name the thing and he had even come up with a name Spiderheart was okay with. Dusk-kit. That was the name Frogstep suggested to her. He had told Spiderheart it was for the deep darkness of his pelt, and Spiderheart just nodded and agreed with that, though in all honesty she agreed to Dusk-kit because she always found the dusk of night, just before the sun set where everything was cast in thick shadows, to be the worst part of the day. The long shadows gave the forest a creepy turn at dusk, just before the moon came out but after the sun went down. It was so dark and easy to get lost in the long shadows, useless to travel in or give any time to. And that was what this kitten was. It was a waste of time to try and help him. He was the dusk of her life, she was perfectly fine with the name Dusk-kit.

Chapter 4...There's No Use For a Mute Cat
"What do you mean he's mute Spiderheart hissed, her tail lashing as she glared at her smallest kit, who was playing with a moss ball in the medicine cat den, the medicine cat apprentice, Shadestare, was tossing it back to the kit while Ferngaze talked with Dusk-kit's mother. "He means Dusk-kit cant speak," Shadestare put in, sitting up from the little game and bringing Dusk-kit over. "Well why in Starclan's name not?" Spiderheart hissed. "We don't know," Ferngaze said, his graying whiskers flicking. Shadestare was well ready to take his place once he retired, and it was fairly obvious that day was going to come soon, but for now he gave the diagnosis. "Will it be this way forever, or will it eventually start talking?" She asked, now ignoring the kit. "He's almost a moon old, if he hasn't started talking now, he won't...being mute isn't something that's seen often, but I have no doubt that your little dusk-kit is, it's just not normal for a kit to not be talking yet. I don't think he'll ever talk" Shadestare wrapped her talk around Dusk-kit, "That's okay though, isn't it Dusk-kit?" She asked the little tom, "Not being able to speak won't effect his growth or life in any way, it may just making communication a little hard sometimes," she added to Spiderheart. "it won't effect him?" Spiderheart snapped, "of course it will! He can't talk with anyone! He can't communicate!" She snarled. "Spiderheart listen, there are many other ways for him to learn to communicate-!" Ferngaze was cut off by the black she-cat's words, "This is just another thing to add onto the list of why this little runt" She hissed the word and snapped at Dusk-kit, who hid behind Shadestare, "will be a useless addition to the clan, no help what so ever!" She hissed, "Come on Dusk-kit," She hissed, getting to her paws, "These two don't know what their talking about." she grabbed him roughly by the scruff and hauled him out of the medicine cat's den. Spiderheart dropped the kit in the nursery and he let out a squeak as he fell to the ground. "Oh, so you can squeak can you? but you can't speak?" she glared at him. "I'm going for a walk, you three stay here," She growled to the rest of the litter as she left. "you know why mothers so mad, don't you dusk-kit?" The dark tom heard the voice from behind and turned to see Bluekit. "It's because you can't talk, you can't play right, you're so weak...you can't do anything right...and she hates you because if that!" the female hissed at him with a laugh.  "oh shut up, Bluekit!" Mudpaw snapped at his sister with a growl. "It's true though..." Ashpaw added, "Spiderheart said so..." the tom looked down. He felt bad for his smallest brother, but he didn't want his mother to hate him too, so he often sided with Spiderheart and Bluekit.

After Spiderheart had been told her kit was mute, she ignored him more than usual. He would often sleep at the edge of the nest while his siblings would be curled up tight with their mother. Though most nights Mudkit would notice him and sleep next to him instead. As time went on, Bluekit came to feel almost as much spite for Dusk-kit as their mother did. She spent the majority of her time messing with him and explaining to him how useless he was to the clan. When Mudkit was around, he would stick up for his smaller brother, though sometimes Bluekit would catch him alone and corner him. As the four cats grew up, he grew more distant from both Bluekit and Ashkit. his gray brother would often sit back and watch as his sister spat abuse at him, though Ashkit didn't join in, he still did nothing to stop it. Though when Ashkit was alone with Dusk-kit, he was nice. Mudkit was really the only one he could count on to be continuously nice to him, besides Frogstep, his father. Frogstep probably paid more attention to Dusk-kit than he did the other three, though he loved them all. His smallest some just seemed to need more of the attention. When Frogstep heard the news that Dusk-kit couldn't speak, he restlessly tried to create other ways to communicate with him. He even began showing Dusk-kit that he could draw little pictures in the sand to show what he meant to say. With the help of Mudkit, the dark tom slowly began to grow more confident with his communication sills, despite Spiderheart constantly shooting him down.

"What is that supposed to be?" His mother his at him. Dusk-kit had been practicing his drawings with Mudkit before she appeared. "It's a mouse!" His brother piped up to their mother. "Looks like not mouse I've ever seen." She sneered, stepping on the drawing and smudging it out. "Well he's still practicing!" Mudkit defended, puffing up as Dusk-kit shrank away from their mother. "Of course he is," Spiderheart rolled her eyes and turned to her largest son, now ignoring the smallest, "My darling why don't you come with me, the apprentices said they want to show you and your siblings some training moves, since you'll be apprentices soon!" Spiderheart doted over her son, despite him constantly standing up to her. she smiled warmly at him, her eyes shining with love. Dusk-kits heart wrenched. He wished she'd look at him that way. Mudkit's eyes shone at the thought now. He couldn't wait to start training, and if the apprentices were willing to share, he wouldn't pass it up! "Come on, Dusk-kit!" He leapt up, "come train with us!" Mudkit raced on as Dusk-kit slowly got to his paws and began padding after him. Spiderheart watched Mudkit leave before stopping Dusk-kit with a paw "Do not get in his way, or any of the others. I know you can't keep up with their training...you're to weak so if you keep him from becoming strong get out of training." She hissed, padding to the center of the clearing where the kits were being shown hunting crouches. When Dusk-kit arrived, Mudkit happily greeted him and helped him get his stance down as the apprentices watched, a air of pride surrounding them as they were able to be teaching, rather than taught.

As he was being shown the crouch, he failed to notice that Bluekit was sneaking up behind him, slowly unsheathing her claws as she did so. He barley had time to turn before she was on top of him, claws in his shoulders. Dusk-kit let out a yelp as Mudkit and the apprentices hauled her off. Though Spiderheart stood up, she only made a halfhearted step forward before sitting down again as her daughter was pulled away. "What were you thinking?!"  Mudkit hissed, helping his brother up. "What?! We're being taught a hunting crouch! Why not try it out on some prey?" She questioned innocently, like she had no idea she was doing anything wrong. "He's not your prey, he's your brother! And you should start treating him like it!" Mudkit stalked away, nudging Dusk-kit along with him as the apprentices scolded Bluekit that claws should never be used on clan mates. Mudkit slowly brought his brother to the medicine cats den and sat with him, cleaning his fur, while they waited for Shadestare. The medicine cat came back with strong smelling herbs and looked Dusk-kit over. "It doesn't look as though she broke skin, you'll probably just be sore for a while," She commented pitifully, "Poor baby," she muttered to herself. "You need anything else you come straight back, okay Dusk-kit?" She said and he gave a nod, "And you make sure he does," She aimed her comment to Mudkit, "Look after him,". "I will," Mud kit promised as he led his brother outside again.

Chapter 5...The Death of a Loved One
Mudkit and Frogstep seemed to be the only two cats that Dusk-kit could count on one hundred percent. His brother would constantly stick up from him and his father was always there to help. Frogstep even took Dusk-kit out into the forest once to show him what the forest looked like. Dusk-kit cherished the time he spent with Frogstep. His father would even spend some nights in the nursery with them and Dusk-kit made sure to be the closest to their father while he slept. The night was dark when Frogstep slipped into their nest and Dusk-kit groggily opened his eyes as his father curled around him. "Hey there, Scamp," He smiled lovingly and licked Dusk-kit on the forehead. I had to go on a patrol, but though I'd sleep here tonight, if that's okay with you," He whispered and Dusk-kit nodded his head sharply, burying himself in has fathers fur and falling asleep a Frogstep slowly licked his pelt, soothing the young tom to sleep. When the sun rose the runt woke up to his father stirring, "Rise and shine, little one, can't sleep the day away!" he purred happily. Dusk-kit rose with a stretch and yawned. it seemed Mudkit and Ashkit were awake already too. Bluekit and Spiderheart were just beginning to move. "Morning Dusk-kit!" Mudkit pressed his head against his brothers and smiled up at their father, "Morning, Frogstep," he purred. "Good morning to you too!" their dad smiled and Dusk-kit purred in response to his brother. Frogstep spent the morning with his kits and his beloved mate before he was called to do a boarder check with a couple of other cats. "I'll be back later, okay? Save a mouse for me and we can share it when I get back!" He meowed to Spiderheart. Despite how the she-cat acted, he was still deeply in love with her. He loved his entire family, he just thought they needed a bit of fixing up. As he padded away, Dusk-kit and the others returned to their day, playing as they awaited their father.

It was almost sundown before a yowl was heard outside of camp and cats thundered in. Four warriors returned to camp, smelling of fear, blood and Thunderclan. "T-they were over the boarder! He-He didn't see it!" one cat stammered, making no apparent sense until the crowd parted. A thundering screech left Spiderheart's lips as she saw Frogstep, motionless, next to the rest of the patrol. "What happened?!" she demanded. "What did they do?!" The she-cat knelt next to her now departed mate at the four kits gather around. "Frogstep?" Mudkit asked as Dusk-kit approached slowly, eyes wide in confusion and shock. "Th-Thunderclan crossed the thunder path...Frog...Frogstep was chasing one back." A warrior started, pausing as he tried to explain. "H-He didn't see it...none of us saw it...we were so caught up in getting Thunderclan off our land...the monster...it caught us all off guard." the young looking tom choked out. "before we knew what happened...the Thunderclanners were gone and...and Frogstep was dead." Spiderheart wailed again as it was said allowed. Her mate, who had grown on her through the years, was now gone from her, leaving her alone with the kits. Spiderheart spent the rest of the day, and many days after that, curled in her nest, unsure how to move on without Frogstep. He had been like a rock for her, and now he was gone. She didn't even take the time for Bluekit, now that he was gone. it was almost a week later that Spiderheart finally left the nursery again, her pelt scraggly and dirty. The other queens helped her clean up when she was finally ready and she tried to cope, though something would always be missing now. Dusk-kit felt completely turned around now that Frogstep was gone. it felt as though his world was turned completely upside down. He and his brother had watched the clan carry away their departed father and Mudkit tried to coax his brother back to the nest, but Dusk-kit refused to move. He sat, rooted to the ground, at watched the entrance, sure that their father would come back. It was only a dream. That right. This was all just a dream. Frogstep would walk into camp any minute to share a mouse with Spiderheart and play with his children. Even after the elders came back form the burial, Dusk-kit refused to move, Frogstep would come home. In the end it was one of the other queens who finally forced him back to the nursery as sun fall. It took a while for the family to recover from Frogsetp's loss, though after a while things seemed to fall back into place again

Apprenticeship
Chapter 6...three fine warriors to be!....and one medicine cat...Dusk-kit was uneasy when the day finally arrived for the litters apprenticeship ceremony. He wasn't really sure he wanted to become a warrior, after all he couldn't even play fight right! He watched as Spiderheart cooed and doted over his three siblings until Mudkit finally got some breathing room to pad over to his brother. "Hey Dusk-kit!" He bounced, "are you excited!?" it was obvious Mudpaw couldn't barley contain his excitement, though Dusk-kit just looked down with a shrug. "Hey, you'll be great!" Mudkit assured him, don't listen to what Spiderheart or Bluekit have to say!" He purred, licking his brothers poofed up coat. In her doting over the other three, Spiderheart had forgotten to groom Dusk-kit, so Mudkit seeped to take the liberty upon himself. The leader finally called the clan meeting and Dusk-kit watched as one by one each of his siblings got their mentor and apprentice name, until it was finally his turn. "An now, from here on out, Dusk-kit shall be known asDuskpaw, until he gets his new name! Your mentor will be...Shadestare!" Dusk-kit looked up in surprise. Shadestare...the medicine cat? He looked over as she stepped forward with a knowing smile and suddenly excitement bubbled through Duskpaw. He stepped forward to touch noses with Shadestare as the clan erupted in chanting the four apprentices new names. He even watched Spiderpaw. Love shone through her eyes as she watched her three kits. To Duskpaw's utter shock, his mother even chanted his name along with his siblings' though she didn't seem as enthusiastic, she still chanted it.

"Hey Duskpaw," The black apprentice purred as his brother approached him, "you're going to be a medicine cat! That's amazing!" He smiled, "You'll be the best medicine cat this clan has ever seen!" He smiled as his mentor approached. Duskpaw watched as Mudpaw darted off with a quick good bye and joined his other siblings. It seemed as though they were going to see the territory. Duskpaw's eyes then landed on Spiderheart, who was watching him coolly. She simply gave him a nod before following her three kits out of camp with a warm smile, telling them to have fun and be safe before heading the warriors den, no doubt to claim a nesting spot. Duskpaw turned towards the medicine den where Shadestare was waiting with a smile. A deep purr rumbled in his throat as he padded over and he smiled as he walked into the den, greeted by the comforting scents of herbs. He was glad to become a medicine cat apprentice, it was something he felt he could finally be good at...who knew...maybe he would finally find something that could impress Shadestare.

Will be updated as he goes!

Sexuality:

Duskpaw isn't entirely sure, actually. Toms or she-cats, he doesn't know which one he's into...he just knows he wants a special someone in his life, though he aslo doesn't want to stop that cat from having a family, since he's a medicine cat and couldn't have kits even I he wanted to.

Preferences:
He likes lighter pelts along with light hearted personalities. A cat who is loving and devoted is usually what he looks at, epically a more adventurous type, he seems drawn to them, despite his more quiet and timid nature. He also wouldn't mind some one to stand up or look out for hi,

Looking For...
Quick Fling? ---
Lasting Relationship? ---
Not Sure? √
Duskaw is still a bit to young to fully understand what love is and isn't quite sure how to deal with cats he has feelings for. Not to mention, he's a medicine cat and can't have kits. He doesn't even know if that should upset him or not. He still has a lot of learning to do before he can decide what he wants out of life.

Scent: He smells like he pines of Shadowclan, mixed with a soft scent of lilies and a strong smell of medicines sticking, seemingly permanent, to his pelt

Fun Facts:
~Duskpaw is mute, making it a little difficult to communicate sometimes. He can sometimes get pretty creative when he wants to express himself but usually just answers yes-or-no questions with Shadestare or keeps to himself
~He's been to find an easier way to communicate with other cats and can often be seen making crude drawings with his claws in order to give a sort of visual of what he's trying to say.
~He views Shadestare as a mother figure and a mentor and he had a very deep respect for her
~He's scared of meeting new cats and having them think he's rude for not talking
~Duskpaw has very low self-esteem but is also extremely sweet and kind to everyone, this usually leads to him letting most cats walk all over him

from :iconthe-blue-tides: in an rp with Jax-of-Anarchy

Leafpelt's breaths were raspy and hard to come by with the Shadowclan cat's claws digging into her neck. Her swipes were getting weaker until finally, almost miraculously, the weight lifted off ho her. She was sticky with blood, both her own and her attackers, and her body was weak and tired when she was finally let go. She lay on the ground in a mixed pool of blood, her body trembling and still in to much shock to move. Leafpelt barley heard the Shadowclan leader call for retreat, and when her opponent spoke, it sounded as if it was from a distance, through a haze. Almost like someone was calling to her from under water. Leafpelt tried to struggle to her feet, but her paws were still to tired to hold her, and she slid back down. "I'll give my life for my clan...will you? that was what she had dared to ask Leafpelt. As if she hadn't almost been killed in her attempt to save Skyclan's territory "I-I-I w-wo-would" She managed to heave "b-b-but I W-w-would n-never al-almost k-k-kill a c-ca-cat f-f-for land-d" She heaved, "M-My cl-clan isn't gr-greedy or f-f-foxheart-t-ted enough..." She trailed off as the orange cat ran off with her clan. Leafpelt didn't even know if she had been talking loud enough for Frostbite to have heard her. All she heard was the brief "I'm sorry" she had thrown at Leafpelt before she left. The dappled Skyclanner wasn't sure how long it took before her exhausted body was able to carry her again, but she finally managed to stumble to her paws and drag herself back to where most of her clan had gathered, leafing a trail of bloody paw prints behind her. She slumped down on her haunches with a raspy cough. How badly she had lost that battle. Her neck stung and she could still feel blood oozing from her shoulders. She was a failure of a warrior, she couldn't even hold her own against one other cat! She blinked back some tears and glanced around her clan, maybe there was something she could do to help here. So many cat were so badly injured. The smell of blood stung her nose and covered the Sky Walk...her leader had lost a life. What was the point of all this? over a crummy piece of land? Was it really worth it? Leafpelt shook her head and closed her eyes. Why had Starclan let this happen, and just after the plague! Leafpelt felt her stomach drop, had their ancestors abandon them for good?
